Intracerebral Hemorrhage Models & CRO Services

 

About 15% of the estimated 800,000 strokes occurring in the U.S. every year represent intracerebral hemorrhage. Spontaneous bleeding into the brain occurs due to longstanding hypertension, cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA), or ruptured intracranial aneurysm. Clinical outcome may be devastating, including patient death.

Biotrofix has developed a quantifiable and reproducible model of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) in rodents. This model is useful for testing the effects of anticoagulant and procoagulant drugs, as well as treatments that reduce the secondary consequences (swelling, mass effect, etc.) that accompany ICH."
